FAREWELL CALL OF JAPANESE AMBASSADOR ON THE FOREIGN MINISTER

H.E Seiji Kojima, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan paid a farewell call today on Foreign Minister Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The outgoing Japanese Ambassador has stayed in Pakistan for a little over two years.

2. Mr. Kojima thanked the Foreign Minister for government's valuable support during his Ambassadorial assignment in Pakistan . He mentioned the cordial relations between Japan and Pakistan and highlighted the efforts of Japanese Government for development in Pakistan and its Tribal Areas. The Japanese Ambassador also lauded Pakistan 's resolute contribution in the fight against terrorism.

3. The Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts of Mr. Kojima in strengthening Pakistan-Japan ties. He acknowledged the Japanese Ambassador's efforts especially towards the enhancement of assistance from Japan for Pakistan 's socio-economic development. Japan has increased it's ODA to Pakistan to US $ 479 million from this year.
